The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives has produced a new commissioning blueprint following a strategic discussion with chief executives to outline the sector’s preferred direction of travel in relation to integrated regional commissioning of 999 and 111 call handling, clinical assessment and triage, out of hours access and ambulance services.
This document draws on developments already underway in some English ambulance trusts and is intended to inform national and local commissioning discussions.
